Battle at Berg Field

Int. JAY BELL's house, morning.

JAY BELL picks up phone, dials, and waits for answer.

JB (sickly): Hey Rob, it's Jay. Listen I'm feelin like dog shit man I can't make it in. (pause) Yeah  I think I got whatever's goin around. I'm just gonna take it easy today ya know, drink plenty of fluids, get lots of rest, all that good stuff.

While JB is talking, jump cuts of him getting supplies for a picnic with his family

JB: Alright Rob, I'll see ya next week.

JB hangs up phone, gets in his car with family and drives away.
Fade to JB's car driving up to and stopping in park. Title is shown on ground near car door where JB steps out.
JB and family set up their picnic, another family comes into view in background.
Cut to JAY LEENDERS (man from other family), looking concerned.

 JL(to his family): Get out of here, this guy's bad news.

Family leaves, JL takes out his cell phone and makes a call.

JL(frantic): Hey Jim, you'll never guess who I'm looking at right now...

Cut to JB with family. Cars come into view in background. JB notices, looking concerned. Takes out phone, texts "might need some help here".
More cars show up from opposite direction.
Everyone goes to their own "team" and stands in a line. (Approx. 8 people total)
JB and JIM CAMPBELL meet in middle.

JC: Got some nerve showin your face around here.

JB: It's a free country.

JC: Well, I guess you know how this is gonna go down.

 JB: Yup.

Both nod at each other and go back to their place in line. Camera pans down both lines.
Wide shot as both lines run towards each other yelling, they start pulling kites behind them and let them fly into the air. They meet in the middle and start battling.
Overly-dramatic montage of kites battling, people shouting aggressively and defeated kites falling.
JC's team acknowledges defeat and flees with their broken kites.
JB's team celebrates their victory.
Cut to two kids who have been watching the whole thing.

Kid1: What's wrong with adults these days?

Kid2 shakes head in disbelief. Both ride away on their bikes.
