WORKING TITLE

A FAVOR FOR TREVOR FILLMORE

SYNOPSIS:

TREVOR FILLMORE, a mild mannered loner and accountant is working late at his office after a long and disappointing day. Suddenly Trevor hears a knock on the door with a surprise on the other side. What awaits on the other side of the door?

FADE IN:

INT: OFFICE

TREVOR FILLMORE, 24. Working alone at his computer station, chairs in disarray from people having left.

FILLMORE

(looks depressed and leans on his chair)

FILLMORE looks around the room and takes in the loneliness of the room.

FILLMORE (POV)

(closes his eyes)

Suddenly, FILLMORE hears three knocks on the door

(EXT. POV)

FILLMORE looks around and believes he it is his imagination and closes his eyes again; FILLMORE hears the three knocks again and realizes that it’s real.

FILLMORE

(gets up and looks around)

FILLMORE walks to the door and opens it and looks down and sees a colorful gifted wrapped box on the floor. FILLMORE notices an envelope taped on the box with his first name written on it in cursive.

FILLMORE

(crouches down)

FILLMORE grabs the box with the envelope taped to it

FILLMORE

(stands up)

FILLMORE looks around to see who delivered this mysterious package and FILLMORE turns around and re-enters the OFFICE.

FILLMORE

(closes door)

FILLMORE takes the taped envelop off the box and places the box on a desk near the door. FILLMORE then proceeds to read the envelope near the desk where he left the box.

FILLMORE

(opens envelope)

FILLMORE then pulls out a letter inside the envelope, and then FILLMORE starts to read the letter.

(POV shot of the letter)

Fillmore,

     You’ve worked hard your whole life. You deserve a moment’s peace.

     -A new friend.

FILLMORE places the letter on the desk where he has also placed the box on. FILLMORE proceeds to carefully open the box, taking the wrapping off the top. FILLMORE looks inside the box and pulls out the contents of the box and appears one plane ticket to Hawaii.

CUTS TO:

FILLMORE logs off his computer at his work station.

CUTS TO:

FILLMORE is packing up his work in his briefcase.

CUTS TO:

FILLMORE is walking steadily to the door while carrying his briefcase in his left hand and carrying the box under his right arm. FILLMORE reaches the door and gently puts his briefcase on the floor and reaches for the light switch with his left hand. FILLMORE looks around the OFFICE for a brief moment. MEDIUM SHOT: FILLMORE then with a smile on his face and opens the door and exits the OFFICE. The door closes steadily.
